Gurus,
USCIS is suppose to give decision in 15 business after filling I140 in premium processing ( or converting existing I140 application to premium processing).
I have seen several person mentioning that they not only got their I140 decision but they got their I-485 expedited too after converting I140 to premium processing ? Is this true...... My I140/I485 was filled at NSC in June 2006...and I have not recieved any decision for my I140 yet....Is it worthwhile to convert my I140 to premium processing ... I am sure I will get my I140 decision in 15 business days but will it expediete my I485 case too after position decision of I140.... Please provide your thoughts...

I am working for a very good Indian company and I worked for 3 very bad Indian companies.I feel the real difference between Good and Bad companies. With good company you never have to worry about your salary and legal things. With bad company you always have to worry about those things.

I remember reading in one of the threads here that USCIS computer system automatically generates FP notices if its more than 15 months. By the way, if they don't issue us one, why we do need to ask them using congressmen etc? Is the burden of giving FP every 15 months falls on the applicant?

Lot of people just say if u want to complaint about your employer who is exploiting go to DOL. There is no specific guidance to it. If anyone knows about it or done in the past please post the links here. How to know the blacklisted company and how to add a company as blacklisted.
Following are the most common criteria I heard
1) Employer did not ran the pay check even though he/she worked for that employer
2) Employer Deducts money for H1B filing, bench period etc.,etc.,
3) Employer Deducts money for GC lawyer and application expenses but did not provide information about lawyer or any progress of GC or partially information of GC.. (I heard from my friends company they filed around 80 people on July 2007 and collected money for lawyer expense but they did not had any lawyer)
4) Deducting money for Bench period in advance...
Good job.

It doesnt matter at what day you apply, there are a lot of applications "pending" from before that will take up the "available" visa numbers, we still have to go through name check and other stuff that takes forever :D its a black hole all you can do is pray and hope your application gets looked at soon and the visa #'s stay current for atleast another 3 months.

In California,
www.edjoin.org
You need to be a credentailed teacher to get a H1B in most cases. For credentialing, you either need a B Ed from India or complete the teacher credentailing program in US. For the credentailing program, you will need to get your degree evaulated, pass the CSET exam or Praxis in some cases and finish the university requirement.
Pls PM me if you need more details.

1.) Could anyone let me know the appropriate documents for this?
Photos (2 Numbers)
Covering letter
Copy of I-485 Receipt
Copy of approved I-140
Copy of PP (1st and last Page)
Copy of I-94 (Front & Back)
Copy of DL
2.) Also, what are the fees associated with it, especially with all the old vs new stuff?
you will have to pay the new fee, which is $305. Do efiling, it is easy and convenient.

"Dear Editor,
I hope that this letter of mine gets a few minutes of your precious time.
While there is a raging debate going on in the Senate about how to accomodate illegal immigrants, while there is so much time being given to find solutions to the issue of illegal immigration, a little known fact is that upwards of 350,000 legal immigrants, who have come to the United States legally, contributing to the american community positively, putting their special skill sets to practice to keep american technical, engineering, research and such jobs in america, paying taxes for every penny they earn, for every day they have lived here, these people are languishing for more than five years because of governmental delays and lack of governmental resources to process their applications in a timely manner.
No coverage at all is being given to the plight of these more than 350,000 'legal' immigrants. These legal immigrants are even afraid to come out and protest lest they get into legal problems with the law enforcement because they might be disturbing peace or affecting productivity negatively. Would NPR kindly give a voice to these legal immigrants and let the public know about the silent suffering that these legal immigrants are going through. If any more information is needed at all, please do visit immigrationvoice.com, or contact any of these individuals who are here legally, shrey@immigrationvoice.org

So it means I can apply in August as I am qualified to apply in July. How about my PD? Will it be August since I applied in August? For schedule A, the PD is the I-140 receipt date.
yes, i think so. your pd will definitely be august if you're going to file your 140 and 485 in august (before the 17th). don't forget to file ead (765) and ap (131) together with the 140 and 485.
