So Samsung believed Apple was violating it's patents all this time but decided to do nothing about it. Now that they have been pushed they decide to act. Sounds to me they are trying to find whatever they can to bite back at Apple.
IF companies sued others for perceived infringement of patents, we wouldn't have anything new to buy.
Sony never sued asus for making clone laptops that were direct copies of sony vaio.

samsung is #2 patents holdings in USA. apple barely broke into top 50 recently.

Company A has a patent (or more) that Co. B wants. B uses A's patents without consent. A waits. A finds a patent B has that they want. A uses B's patents without consent. Then A sues B or vice-verse. The two co. get together and work out a licensing deal. Profit.

I bet samsung told apple (in private negotiations) to come back with more patents if they want cross-license deal with samsung. and apple prob got pissed for being put down like that...

ok this is weird, I just went through change the rate plan set up again .. and now the price is $154/month instead of $170, and nights/weekends is unlimited.
I know I must have screwed something up here. :confused:

Well I was going to get a PB but I just can't see a justification for the price on the 15" 1ghz even if I would prefer portability so I've decided to get a G4 PM. My question is if panther will take advantage of a second cpu, otherwise I'll just get a SP.

All this iPhone hype is a bit ridiculous. Remember that the iPhone, when and if it comes out, will be essentially identical to some current SonyEriccson phones, or even the LG Chocolate.:rolleyes: Yes, it may have an apple logo on it, but it's almost certainly not going to be significantly new technology.
I have a SonyEricsson d750i candybar phone, and I've seen a friends slider w850i phone. I've also checked out the LG Chocolate. The big difference here is obviously that Apple can integrate a *real* iPod scrollwheel since they patented it. Probably the Apple will borrow a lot from the SE phones though: a "music" button or switch to quickly bring up the iPod-like interface, and hopefully a camera button/slider as well.

My wife has bought a MacBook Pro and I have put Outlook 2011 on it. Can I sync my iPad's contacts and calendar without syncing with iCal and Address Book as these will have my wife's contacts and calendar which we don't want to mix. iTunes only allows syncing with Address Book and iCal.

I think google has a lock on the map thing. I can't see apple employees driving around remapping the world to get their own data base

The Golf is going to remain the European version as far as I've heard. The Jetta is no longer the 'Golf with a trunk', but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's getting it's own identity, even if it's a little dull for the time being. The new Passat basically looks like a larger Jetta.
I've had my Golf TDI for 10 years (bought new in 2/2001), and it's been a wonderful car for 215K miles. This last tank I got 47mpg. I would definitely buy another one.

Agreed that this app is definitely worth checking out, if only for the amazing more-apple-than-apple GUI! But as DR Q pointed out before this is a thread for freeware apps and at $40 Delicious Library doesn't quite fall into that category.
