If you enter with AP, you become a parolee (based on the fact that you get an I-94 with parolee status on it). Then you resume your work with the H-1B employer. After few months, for some reason your I-485 gets denied. Do you become out of status since your status was parolee?

photoshop is amazing.,.... but if your an artist...like the way painter outputs is really intuitive...the only problem is it has a lot of like variable parts that can seem overwhelming. plus i hate how photoshop doesnt have an add water option like painter. that thing kicks so much ***. I think its a good idea to have both.

DOS tried to update the system reflecting a big jump in the visa dates for May. The system was unused to any changes lately - leave aside such large forward movements - and as a result it crashed.
DOS managed to recover the system by replacing all date fields with character fields. The rumor is that the value for all those character fields is now "C", whatever that means.

Generally FOIA does't give approval notice. But other stuff you recieved should be enough. What date did you use for port of entry, your first one or the latest one?
I use the last time I entered into US NOT the first time.

X:EB2-I-140-PD DEC 2004 approved JAN 2008
Y: EB2-I-140-PD DEC 2007 approved July 2007
485 filed on Jul2 2007 with Y I-140
On aug 1st lawyer sent a request to USCIS to process the I-485 with X-140 PD.
Still no LUD on I-485/I-140...
Anyone knows how long it takes for such cases?

My gully, I should have issued personal cheque instead of asking the atty. to use his cheques. I could then saved the trouble of asking the atty. everynow and then.

Company A applied I-140 and approved April 2006. AOS 485 filed on July 2007. Got EAD but never used it
September 2008 I have Joined employer �B� by transferring H1B (Valid until Aug 2010).
Employer A revoked 140 which triggered 485 denials in October 2008.
Applied MTR and it was approved in NOVEMBER 2008 and 485 reopened.
Questions
----------
Now Will I able to renew my H1B? Using pending 485 more than 365 days?If so will able to get 3 years renewal?
Will the past 140 revoke issue, trigger any RFE?
When I send my all H1B renewal papers, do I need to enclose my 485 receipt copy? or also the MTR(Motion to Reopen)copy?

Hello Folks,
We should call the new organizations. But in this case people will talk about this issue for a day, maybe two. The one thing that will catch people's attention is we do something OUT of the way!
I support one suggestion put forward by one of our members - Go the Munnabhai way! Send them flowers! Do you guy have any idea what kind of news that will be? If USCIS suddenly receive 1000s of flowers everyday? Granted we will be spending money from our pockets but that is a small price to pay to make our woes known to others!
This is really a cruel joke played by DOS and USCIS! We should not stand by and do nothing!
So, if people are interested... let us start a send a flower a day campaign!

Hello All,
Just curious and needed your opinion. My wife has a valid H4 status until 2010 (no visa but petition approved). She used her EAD card for all of 5 days about a year ago and then has not worked since then. I am confused if I need to apply for renewal of her EAD to maintain her legal status in the country considering having used EAD for 5 days might have triggered her out of H4 status. Any thoughts on this? Do i need to renew her EAD to maintain her legal status in the country even with a valid H4 petition until 2010? We also have 485 petition filed and pending over 180 days. I am wondering if it is required for a person with 485 pending for over 180 days to always maintain a valid EAD card even though they are not employeed. Thank you all in advance.

I am scheduled to close my refinancing (changing from conventional to FHA). Quicken Loan processed my loan - of course their charges are a lot more than others. The point is, I did not face any objections so far due to EAD status. Of course they asked my EAD copy a few times. Hope this helps!

thanks desertfox ! i I did apply before July 30, 2007 (recd. date for 485 is 7/17/07) which means that i do have to pay the fees for AP. I will go ahead and apply online.
